Brandon Slyter

Brandon is Founder and President of Connect: Japan Property Network, a nonprofit organization. He has nearly a decade of international disaster relief and community service experience, and has in this realm, he has worked with both governments and nonprofits. His professional background is in logistics, multimedia marketing and communications. Brandon credits these experiences with helping him to develop skills in project management, cross-cultural communication, and nonprofit leadership.
Brandon served on the CPRD budget committee for the 2025-26 fiscal year budget, prior to election. In spring of 2025 he was volunteer leader for Arbor Day tree plantings and trail clean up efforts, particularly at Friends' Park. He is a Friend of the Newberg Noon Rotary Club.
Brandon says that he is passionate about transparent government, equitable park access, and maintaining public spaces that serve our community.
"I’m hoping to encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the public spaces available to them. When recreating outside, it’s playing with my kids at playgrounds, walking or running park paths and trails, capturing moments through outdoor photography."
Brandon is a proud husband and father of two children.
