Tom Gail Park

 .

Tom Gail Park was dedicated on July 12, 2008. It was made possible with a gift of 3.25 acres, thanks to the generosity of Tom Gail, a physician who practiced medicine locally for over 40 years.

Dr. Gail moved to Newberg in 1972. He lived on a 25-acre hazelnut farm in this area and helped raise five sons. He often said he donated this land because it was important to him that the people in the northwest section of Newberg have a park to enjoy. At the time, it was the largest section of property given to the Chehalem Park and Recreation District since the year 2000.

Today at Tom Gail Park enjoy a basketball court, playground, climbing structure, and a walking trail that surrounds the park.
