City of Newberg recognizes Water Polo coach Jim McMaster and his team

NEWBERG, Ore. - Newberg City Council proclaimed December 3, 2018, Newberg High School Boy’s Water Polo Day. This proclamation was approved at the Dec. 3, 2018 city council meeting. CPRD is proud to Parks and Facilities Supervisor Jim McMaster for his achievements in the water polo program, which he built inside Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center. A PROCLAMATION DECLARING DECEMBER 3, 2018 AS NEWBERG HIGH SCHOOL BOY’S

WATER POLO DAY IN RECOGNITION OF THEIR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

WHEREAS, this year’s Newberg High School Boy’s Water Polo Team, coached by Jim McMaster, brought

state recognition for Newberg High School and the City of Newberg; and

WHEREAS, the Newberg High School Boy’s Water Polo teams have earned their fifth consecutive state title;

and

WHEREAS, the student athletes exhibited exceptional skill, teamwork and enthusiasm, showcasing their

defensive muscle and dexterity with the collective awareness and energy that allows them to be so successful,

symbolizing the spirit of the City of Newberg and their Newberg High School with championships; and

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS PROCLAIMED, by the Mayor and City Council, and on behalf of the citizens

of the City of Newberg, Oregon, that December 3, 2018, is Newberg High School Boy’s Water Polo Day

and sincere congratulations goes to all of the team members along with their coach for their outstanding

achievements. All citizens of Newberg are very proud of this exceptional accomplishment and join together

to celebrate this great success.
