Antonia Crater, one of the founding members of the CPRD Board of Directors,
felt strongly that early childhood education would make a difference in the
community. She asked the Board to consider offering a kindergarten-preschool
program. The Board accepted this proposal, and our first “activity program” was
born. The Board asked Bonnie Benedict to develop this program, and Newberg’s
first preschool was begun.
Need daycare as well? We offer CARE childcare/daycare for grades K-5 from
6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, at local schools.

COMMUNITY CENTER

This 1950s-style building features a smooth linoleum floor, ideal for dancing
or exercise.
Community Center meeting space can be rented for large and small groups,
such as parties, reunions, graduations, wedding, Quinceañeras, conferences and
business meetings.
