.19 miles (short but sweet) - This secluded, idyllic park in Dundee features a trail alongside the hill which runs across the back of the park. Note that while this is a peaceful setting, you may hear gunshots; a private gun club is adjacent to the park (not affiliated with CPRD).
A four-field cloverleaf configuration features two skinned softball/baseball fields with fenced distances up to 240'. Fields are conducive to Little League Baseball and various levels of fast-pitch softball. All fields are fully irrigated. Two remaining fields have baseball-configured grass-covered infields with outfield fenced distances up to 200 - 211'. This complex also features two fully irrigated warm-up areas.
This complex at Crater Park is in a four-field cloverleaf configuration with 300' fences. Fields are fully irrigated and conducive to all levels of youth and adult softball play. Two fields are lighted. The concourse is covered with safety netting. Hours are dawn to dusk.
Crater Park was dedicated in 1999. It honors the extraordinary life of Antonia Crater, who passed away in December 1993 at age 95, and who was one of the original organizers of Chehalem Park and Recreation District.
Born in Germany, Antonia moved to the United States with her family in 1903.
