Admission

All admissions include weight room, pool (schedule permitting), hot tub and sauna (age restriction), and shower. Locker rentals are available.

Holiday Closure Schedule

The Aquatic and Fitness Center is open Labor Day, Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents' Day, and Memorial Day. We close at 7:00 p.m. on Halloween & New Year's Eve.

Facilities

Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center is equipped with products from Paramount and Precore. Our 1995.5 sq ft weight room has fourteen cardio-stations numerous selectorized stations, free weights, tubing bands and fitness balls. We also  have Cardio-Theatre to complete your exercise experience. Open to all lifter ages 15+ yrs. Lifters from 13 years by special permission, twelve years and under are not permitted. Appropriate gym/exercise attire is required (no street clothes/shoes).

Activities

Strong Bones, Weight Training for Senior Citizens
This strength training class is for older adults, taught by a nationally certified Personal Trainer.  During this fun and effective class we cover instruction on weight-lifting machines, as well as free weights.  The class focuses on developing a workout that is done at YOUR own pace and fitness level - from the beginner to the fitness-conscious exerciser.  The goal is to protect your bones, help you become stronger, help you feel better, and have more energy!

Women’s Weight Training
A class taught by and designed especially for women.  Join us and enjoy the opportunity to work out in a supervised, but non-intimidating environment.  Make new friends while learning how safe and effective strength training can lead to a better fitness level, weight loss, improved appearance, and more energy!  Open to all levels of fitness.

Weight Room Orientation

Chehalem Aquatic Center requires all patrons to undergo an orientation. This will cover facility rules, equipment use, safe exercise practices and weight-room etiquette. Orientations last approximately one hour and cost $5 per person. Orientations are typically scheduled on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. with Karen and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. with Max.  Daytime appointments are available by special arrangemets.  Pre-registration is required for all orientation sessions. Call 503-538-4813 to register for your orientation or register in person at the reception counter.

Fitness Evaluation

Fitness testing is a valuable tool in assessing your current level of fitness and can be used in dertermining and setting your personal goals.  Satndardized testing includes body compostition assessment, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and muscular strength and endurance.  A thorough one on one consultations of test results is included.  By appointment only.  To schedule your appointment call Patty Crowley at 503-201-7040. Fee: $55.

Massage Therapy

Patty Crowley, certified licensed massage therapist, is available to assist you in achieving better health through relaxation and massage and therapy.  Massage therapy practices include Swedish, Relaxation, Sports Massage and chair massage.  By appointment only, contact LMT, Patty Crowley at 503-201-7040.   Fee: Single Session $60 (60 minute table massage).  Other price options available.   

Personal Training

Patty Crowley, certified Personal Trainer is available to assist you in achieving your personal health and fitness goals.  Work on developing cardiovascular health, and improving muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. These comprehensive one on one sessions are available by appointment only; contact Patty Crowley at 503-201-4070.  Fee: Single Session $55. Multiple session package rates available.
