September 21, 2010, Advisory Committee Meeting |
City administration from Newberg and Dundee, ODOT, Oregon State Parks, the Newberg
School District, and Champoeg State Park were represented in the inaugural meeting.
One thing they did was decide on the official name of the trail system itself. Discussion
opened up on the theme and the names of the other trails included in the master plan.

A delegation from Congressman Wu's office shared insights on the Chehalem Parks & Recreation District projects and programs. The group participated in briefings on the Cultural Center, parks/trails and also toured various sites |
Chehalem Cultural Center and Chehalem Heritage Trail supporters met with Nils Tillstrom and Brian Plinski from Congressman Wu's office to discuss project development and funding.

A public meeting was held to discuss the Chehalem Heritage Trail concept, objectives
and program. Attendees reviewed multiple maps of the program area and selected their
preferences for trail connectivity [shown by the number of dots for each Point of
Interest].
