The Board of Directors is an elected board of five. The Board meets the fourth Thursday of each month. Due to the holidays, the board meets only if necessary in November and December.

Board Meetings

CPRD Board meetings are generally held at 6:00 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at the CPRD Administration Office at 125 S. Elliott Road in Newberg, Oregon. The public is welcome. Questions? Call the office at (503) 554-0283.

The next board meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23rd at the CPRD Administration Office. The public is welcome.

Mike Ragsdale is active in several civic organizations besides CPRD. He is executive director of the Newberg Downtown Coalition, a member of the Dundee Civic Association, the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Chehalem Valley Cultural Association, and serves on the board of the Oregon Farmers’ Market Association.

Mike has been involved in community building for many years as an elected official and community volunteer. He represented Washington County as State Representative and State Senator and was the presiding officer of METRO.

Mike is a fifth generation Oregonian. He and his wife Diane live in Dundee.

Pete Siderius

Pete served on the CPRD Budget Committee for two years before he was appointed to the board. He has taught biology, ecology, and horticulture at Newberg High School for 18 years and oversees its remarkable horticulture program.

Pete is actively involved with many local civic organizations and has been intimately involved in numerous projects in Newberg, including beautification along main thoroughfares, educational outreach projects and various landscaping projects with the City of Newberg, CPRD and the Newberg School District.

"I find the work that CPRD does in our community to fit in with my interests and my desire to serve in my community," said Pete.

Larry has served on the board since 2003. He is owner and operator of Larry Anderson Engineering, Inc.

Larry is a native Oregonian and loves the outdoors. He graduated from OIT with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering.

Larry settled in Newberg in 1985 and managed the City's Engineering Department for 15 years before starting his own consulting firm in 2000.

Larry is a member of the Newberg Downtown Coalition, a board member of the Green Building Guild of Yamhill County, and engineer for Providence Newberg Medical Center project, the first LEED-certified Medical Center in the nation.

Larry and his wife Christie have two sons, Kyle and Matt.

Don Loving

Forest Grove native Don Loving has a long history with CPRD, including coaching youth sports and participating in basketball and softball leagues. Don was also a driving force behind the creation of the Chehalem Glenn Golf Course. He has served on the board since 1991.

Don graduated from University of Oregon with a B.S. in journalism and served as a radio news director and sports newspaper editor. Currently, he is Public Affairs Director for Council 75 (Oregon) of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

Don is also an elected member of the Deacon Board and treasurer of Family Life Church in Newberg.

Don and Anna Loving married in 1984 and have two adult children, Michael and Elizabeth.

Mike McBride

Mike McBride has served on the board since 1982. He is a self-employed Farmers Insurance agent. He is also Chairman of Fundraising for Newberg Kiwanis, and has been voted Kiwanian of the Year twice.

Two of the board’s accomplishments Mike is especially proud of during his tenure are the creation of the Adult Enrichment Center (A.K.A. the Senior Center) and Chehalem Golf Course.

Mike is single and has two daughters.
